Halima Khan Head Hunted by Leicester School Sports Partnership

BARA’s Halima Khan has been head hunted by the Leicester Schools Sports Partnership, Women In Sport & Physical Activity event.

Halima spoke about the importance and benefits of being involved in sport & physical activity as well as taking the young girls through coaching skills sessions including playing a game of rugby.

Over 100 young girls at the age of 14 years some of whom were having their first taste of any kind of rugby activity.

The event is ran annually by the Leicester School Sport Partnership.  Halima Khan was spotted when she was delivering coaching sessions in Leicester and thus was contacted to be part of this event.

Sarah Lansdowne, School Sports Manager, stated, We spotted Halima coaching and we were really impressed with her coaching abilities.  Halima is a wonderful role model for our girls and we were pleased when she agreed to attend our event.’

Halima Khan, added, ‘I am just pleased to be able to play my part in encouraging more girls to take up sport and be more active.’
